Painted Shoes: Frozen

I will be making fun clothes for our Disney trip again this time. 

But this time I am also painting shoes!

I recently started doing this hobby and it is SO addicting!

I will be making some Frozen themed skirts and shirts so I made the girls some shoes to match. 

I use the 50 cent acrylic paint from Walmart and also bought my brushes there. I like the ones that are really stiff. I pencil on the pictures first and then paint. When it is dry I do any touch ups that need to be done. 

When  they are completely dry I spray them with Scotch Guard and let it dry. 

Then I spray again with Scotch Guard and when it dries this time they are done. 

I only have Abi's shoes pictures because they are identical. 

Disney Movie Night: The Muppets

Our Muppets Movie night was a lot of fun. We had Miss Piggy in blankets, It's not easy being green (and brown) chocolate Kermits,Fozzy fries, Swedish Chef fish, and Gonzo's grape juice.

Then the girls spent the rest of the night drawing pictures of the characters. 

Maddy made a muppet book:

Abi ended up drawing My Little Pony characters after a while.

Disney Movie Night: Brave

Disney Movie night this weekend was Brave.

Maddy helped me make Scottish Scones. 

Our entire menu consisted of :

Scottish Scones

Shepherds Pie

Carrots (for her horse)

Curly fries for her curly hair

Blue Cotton Candy "Wisps"

and 

Witch's brew punch

The girls colored Merida pictures.

And for the rest of the time Abi worked on a Disney puzzle. 

I used this book for some ideas with the girls. 

We used their Scones recipe which was fabulous (and we had leftovers for breakfast the next day) and I used their idea of Shepherds Pie but my own recipe. 

Disney Movie Night: Alice In Wonderland

For our movie night this week we watched Alice in Wonderland.

We had a tea party.

I made Cucumber and Tomato sandwiches and pasta salad. 

And I picked up some Blueberry scones. 

We had some pink lemonade for our "tea".

Sorry this one turned sideways. 

For our activity, the girls colored Alice in Wonderland tea party pictures I printed out. 

Abi colored a bit but then never finished.

Disney Movie Time: Jungle Book

Last week our mid week movie was The Jungle Book. We had popcorn while we enjoyed this classic.

Disney Movie Night: The Lion King

This week we watched The Lion King.

On the menu:

Slimy yet satisfying

I thought it was so obvious that this roll, raisins, cheese, and Mac and Cheese was a lion. But then when I said something about it Doug said, "Oh! That's what it is." Haha. 

Some yummy Trees of Life

For dessert we had banana Creamies.

We got this book about drawing Lion King characters at the library and the girls spent some time after dinner drawing. 

Abi got bored after a while and left it undone. She was doing really well before she stopped. 

Maddy's finished project. This made me laugh so hard. I think it looks like a Doctor Who villain or something. 

Then the girls got the blocks out and made animal habitats and played with the wild animal toys. 

After the movie we played a few rounds of Monkeys in a barrel. Abi won every time. 

Disney Movie Time: Pinocchio

Our mid week movie last week was Pinocchio.

This was Maddy's first time seeing it and only Abi's second and they loved it. They were engaged the whole time and laughed so much.

We had a small snack of goldfish (Cleo) crackers while watching. 

Disney Movie Night: Tangled

For our Disney Movie night Saturday we watched Tangled.

For dinner we ate off of frying pans made from black paper plates. 

We had spaghetti, braided breadsticks, and Pascal-green peas. 

We drank "sun juice" from the Snuggly Duckling. 

Then we decorated cupcakes for Rapunzel's birthday. After decorating they got to choose one to eat. 

After dinner, they got to paint pictures of Rapunzel.

After painting the girls got to each use a set of blocks to build towers. 

It was such a fun movie night!
