Disney movie night: Frozen

Our Frozen movie night was one of my favorites so far!
We got out a bunch of Frozen puzzles from Target's dollar section, a Frozen look and find book, and some Frozen loom bands to have for our activities throughout the movie.
We had sandwiches ("we finish each other's sandwiches"), chips, Olaf's nose carrots, melted snow to drink (water).
Then we had some chocolate fondue with fruit.
At the end of the night we had some ice cream.

Disney movie night: Monsters Inc.

For our Monsters, Inc.night we had monster sandwiches, chips, monster drinks, graham cracker and frosting doors, and monster buckets with popcorn in them.

I was going to have the girls decorate doors but they wanted to play Disney Headbanz instead.

Cinderella movie night

Our Cinderella movie night was so much fun!
We set up some of our favorite Cinderella themed things with the cupcakes we made.

We each had our own small pumpkin filled with Cheesy Potato Soup.
After dinner Abi painted her big pumpkin for a school project.

this is what it looked like when she was all done.
Maddy played with her Cinderella Lego Duplos.

Disney Movie Night: Princess and the Frog

For our Princess and the Frog movie night we used our Princess cookbook.
I saw the Bayou meatloaf recipe in it but made my own recipe because I have never tasted another meatloaf I like. Then I made Southern Spoon bread and we had corn with it.
I also attempted to make beignets. They were pretty good but a little over cooked.
We also had out chocolate frogs.
Afterward we played Kiss the Frog.

Disney Movie Night: Wreck It Ralph

This was one of my favorite movie nights to date.
It is just such a fun movie and it really holds everyone's attention.
For dinner we had meatloaf "cupcakes" with mashed potato frosting and topped with "Sour Bill" peas.
We had Diet Pepsi (caffeine free) for our drink because of the volcano with the cola in it.
For dessert I gave each person a plate with an individual peanut butter container, some mini doughnuts, pretzel sticks, apples, and candy to decorate our own Sugar Rush cars. I was going to do something like Twinkies or wafer cookies for the body of the car but I am so glad I went with apples instead. I wanted something that wasn't candy for the cars and it tasted so much better to have one thing that wasn't.

Our cars...

Abi's was... interesting. I have no idea why she piled the tires on top.
But it was cute and she loved it. However it way too sweet and she couldn't finish even half of it.
For our activity the girls colored pictures of Vanellope.
Out of order but here is Maddy eating her car before I could get a picture of it!

The finished drawings...

Disney Movie Night: The Incredibles

To celebrate superheroes we had "hero" sandwiches with chips.
For dessert we had Frozone's Ice Cream Sundae with "superfruit".

Disney Movie Night: Peter Pan

For our Peter Pan movie night we went with a pirate theme.
We had pirate ship pizzas.
We made Captain Hook breadsticks... although I kind of think this one turned out looking more like a penguin than a hook.
We had some Pirate "Ale" (sprite) and chocolate dublooms.

Disney Movie Night: Snow White

Our movie night this week was Snow White.
Abi came home from school on Friday with pink eye. So it's been a little hectic around our house. She was not feeling great. And I wanted to make it very simple.
We made Split Pea Soup (because Snow White makes the dwarves some soup.)
There was also "Seven Dwarves in blankets".
And for dessert: apple pie.
I just bought a store bought and went with it.
We didn't do any real activity. Abi just built with blocks and Abi rested on the couch.

Disney Movie Night: Toy Story

For Toy Story movie night I made homemade pizza.
It was a very simple night.
For the activity there was playing with our Mr. Potato Head toys.

Painted Shoes: Beauty and the Beast

I really wanted to make some Stained glass Beauty and the beast shoes for myself. But I was also pretty sure that I wouldn't be able to do it.
I sat down and drew on the designs with pencil and then went over the pencil lines with a black paint marker.
Then I painted them in.
After I was finally done filling in every spot with paint, I let them dry overnight and then went back over all of the lines with the black paint marker again.
I LOVE how they turned out!
