Disney World: Day 7, part 5- The rest of Monday

While in the Christmas shop, Maddy wrote a letter to Santa and put it in the box.

And then here is where we waited for everyone else for dinner.

Soon after, my parents came in and sat with me.
Then a few minutes after that Doug and Abi wandered in.
We checked in as soon as they got there.

We were taken to our table.
I love their menus.

And their glasses...

Our waitress was great.
She brought around corn bread, rolls, and salad to start.

Then sweet potatoes, beans, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and a few different kinds of meat.

And for dessert we had cranberry cake with ice cream.
It was all great.
Just like our last trip we really enjoyed our dining experience here.

Also on our last trip I took a picture of Abi and my mom in front of their Christmas tree.
Here it is.
My mom and Abi, aged 5.

So I had to get another one!
My mom and Abi, aged 8 (almost 9)

At this point there was going to be a party at the park so it was time for us to leave.
We made our way toward the front of the park.
The castle looked so beautiful.

Main street was pretty packed.

We got on a very packed bus with all the windows fogged up.
It felt like a sauna it was so humid in that bus.
We rode back to Pop.
I got the girls bathed and ready to get in bed and watch cartoons.
And then I got freshened up to go out with my mom.

We had decided that since it was her last night we would go, just the two of us, to Downtown Disney.
On our last trip we did this to see Harry Potter but this time we would just go shopping.
We did a lot of shopping- especially my mom because she was getting a bunch of Christmas gifts.
After we had our fill of the shops we stopped into Ghiradelli and shared a hot fudge sundae.

Then we headed back to our rooms.
So sad that it was my parents last day.
But glad I got to have some time with my mom having a girls night!

Disney World: Day 7, part 4- making the most of the rain

After we met the mice we stood under the cover for a few more minutes.
But then we decided we would get back out in the rain and go ride rides.
Abi put the poncho back on and we jumped out into the rain, splashing and having an awesome time.
We went to the Winnie the Pooh ride.

The line was a bit long since it would be indoors. We ended up waiting for about 25 minutes. But it didn't bother us. We were having a blast.
The girls played in the play area which was something they didn't really get to do when we had fast passes.

For my dad...

For me. :)

Found a Tigger!

Abi and my mom got in one honey bucket.

Doug, Maddy, and I got in the next one.

Blurry.. but Maddy was so excited to be back on her favorite ride again.

We stopped in the shop on our way out.
My mom bought both of the girls the tubes that you put this sugar in.
And Maddy got a baby Winnie the Pooh.

Then we went straight over to the teacups.

Then we decided it was time to go try out Gaston's tavern for a snack.
Hello castle!

We knew we wanted to get in here at least once and try some of the snacks and the LeFou's brew.

Oh man. The details. The details were amazing.

We got 2 brews to share. It is like a frozen apple juice with some kind of marshmallow flavor and passion fruit mango foam.
The foam wasn't my favorite. And the whole thing was really sweet. The slushy part was pretty good.
We all enjoyed it.

My mom bought one of the giant cinnamon rolls for us to share and cut it into a bunch of pieces.
That was delicious.

I made Doug do this pose.

It seemed they did use antlers in all of their decorating.

We had a really great time here.
We just relaxed and talked and enjoyed the little break from the rain.
It was one of my favorite parts of the day.

The rain was coming down ridiculously hard but after a while we decided to brave it and run across the square to the gift shop.
I could have bought everything in there.
But I didn't.
I did, however, end up buying this guy.

After shopping for a while we decided to go ride the little Mermaid ride again.

Then noticed this across from it.

The rain was starting to calm down a little.
We walked back past the village.

Abi really wanted to ride Splash mountain again and we needed to head that direction for our dinner reservations so we started walking toward Frontierland.
Stopped in the Tangled area for the bathrooms again.

Took a picture of the Columbia Harbour House where we had eaten lunch on Friday.
The window we were sitting at that had the view of the tower is the set of windows with the red flowers in the window boxes.

My mom wanted to do a little shopping in the Christmas shop in Liberty square and when we got close we saw that my dad was already waiting outside of Liberty Tree Tavern (our dinner destination) so she grabbed him and they went in to the shop.
I took Maddy in there for a minute and then we went to the restaurant and let her color at a table while I sat on the couch and watched.  That way my parents could take their time shopping.
Doug and Abi continued to Splash.

Their ride photos....
